Tibétain (Tibet) Khata Karpo's mission
Refugees are committed to find a balance between preserving the culture they left behind and integrating into the welcoming country in which they are about to start a new life. This challenge is particularly urgent and stressful for Tibetans.
On the one hand, they very often feel a remarkable and surprisingly strong attachment to their culture and language.

Our executive committee (« bureau » ) and board of directors (« conseil d’administration » ) include 14 members, including 6 Tibetan members and 8 French members.
Since the beginning of the Khata Karpo association in 2017, some 50 volunteers contributed to the development of the association.
Our team of volunteers ensuring the implementation of our activities is composed equally of Tibetan and French members.
*Chabdak Lhamo Kyab is a writer, teacher and former member of the Tibetan parliament in exile.
